Nagulimek Dagiti Billit Tuleng

Naulimek ti angin, kumkumpasanna’t aweng
Ken sagawisiw dagiti billit tuleng
A dangdanggayan met dagiti bulong
Mangliklikmot naiisem a sabsabong
A mangpaypayapay, mangaw-awis kenka
Tapno makipagragsakka kadakuada.

Immisemka, ngem apay a napait
Naibus kadin isemmo a nasam-it
Imbunbunongmo kadagiti papagayam
Inarub-obda kadin a naminpinsan?
Naatianan kadin daydi bubon
Pagsaksakduan isemmo naruay a kas danum?

Idiay laud, aggargarakgak ti init
Mangbuybuya mulmula a masinsinit
‘Di mangikankano kadagiti sangit a maip-ipit
Ken rungaab dagiti mula a naiburang-it
Agpapaarayat, dumawdawat iti asi
Sangkabassit a danum a maiwarsi.

Naikulengka, ngem apagapaman laeng
Ta pagamuan adda nangikut kenka nga aweng
A nangidiktar iti aramidem. Wen, gayyem
Luam nagarubosda, ket dagiti mula nagungarda
Ngem anian, saanmon a nakita nasam-it nga isemda
Ta idin, pagayam, ket naglusdoyka.

Nagulimek metten dagiti billit tuleng.

Nagulimec metten dagiti billit tuleng, ket agingga iti agkir-in a casla macangeg a tuleng...

Nope, that's just a feeble attempt at playing on words, although it conjures some old memories when as a young boy, I was asked to watch over a kaingin of maturing maliket (wild mountain rice) and those billit tuleng would swarm the rice field, very happily noisy at first when they saw nobody was watching, but would go suddenly quiet when they noticed me and continued to ravage the maliket until I moved in to physically scare them. Smart but pesky those little creatures! But imagine how dull and boring a chore that was because I didn't even have a book to read and neither did I have a pen to write with. Life was so totally less complex then and it sure didn't take so much to feel content...

I know we have our orthographic differences but all the same, let's have fun with using words. Only I haven't developed the skill to use poetry like you do to extravagantly express what you want to say. I see you're doing great. Keep it up!

[See, I can write something which is absolutely nothing! Try that sometime as some form of catharsis. Sorry to waste some space.]

Manong Joe! Thank you so much for dropping by... It's been a long time since we exchanged hellos and ideas. Kumustakan, Manong?

Yeah, those billit tuleng. They also remind me of fond memories... when life was simple and it was easy to feel content... when days were filled with carefree laughter as we ran wild in the fields... when music was the songs of the crickets... ahh, those were the days.

Hey Manong... About orthography. Hmmm... that reminds me, saanta pay a nalpas diay tungtunganta idi. One of these days, maitugawakto ti agbasa kadagiti sukisok ken opinion dagiti dadduma on the issue... then I will be able to post something about it again.

Thank you for the nice posting...
